According to the Czech Statistical Office retail sales increased by 6.5% y-o-y in April and by 7.8% y-o-y in May. On the contrary, the sharp growth of e-commerce slowed. An increase only by 12.5% y-o-y in April and 15.6% y-o-y in May was recorded in sales via the internet.

After „reopening“, footfall increased in average to 40% y-o-y in April, 16% y-o-y in May and slightly decreased  by 4% y-o-y in June. 

In the second quarter of 2021 shopping centre density stood at 231 sq m/ ‘000 inhabitants.

Prime rents remained stable compared to Q1 2021 and stood at 140 EUR/ sq m/ mth for shopping centres and at 217.5 EUR/ sq m/ mth on the high street.
