CBRE Appoints Jakub Stanislav Head of Hotels CEE Following Record-Breaking Year

January 6, 2026

CBRE, the global leader in commercial real estate services, has appointed Jakub Stanislav as Head of Hotels, CEE, effective January 1, 2026. While continuing to lead the Capital Markets business in the Czech Republic, Stanislav will now spearhead the firm’s hotel investment advisory platform across Central and Eastern Europe.

The appointment follows a historic year for CBRE’s Hotels team in Prague. Under Stanislav’s leadership in 2025, the firm captured roughly 70% market share and was involved in 80% of hotel transactions in the Czech Republic. This included the landmark sale of the Hilton Prague – the largest single hotel transaction in CEE history – as well as Hotel Diplomat, Hotel Ibis, and B&B Hotel Prague, among others.

These high-profile transactions highlight a significant shift in the market: CEE is increasingly on the radar for a wider breadth of capital, firmly establishing the region's position within the broader European investment context.

Connecting Capital to CEE

“What has been striking in 2025 has been the interest shown by local, regional and increasingly international investors in the major hotel assets in CEE,” said Kenneth Hatton, Head of Hotels, Europe at CBRE. “Jakub has played a key role in speaking to that trinity of investor types on the major projects in Prague, and we are excited at the prospect of his doing the same for the major assets across the wider CEE region, dove-tailing with the strong teams on the ground in each market.”

Jakub Stanislav notes that the demands of this new wave of capital are specific. "Investors are clearly looking at CEE hotel opportunities again, but they are clear on their expectations – they want quality, income security and core markets," said Stanislav. "This year, the market proved that demand is there, provided you have the right assets and the right execution. My focus is to now take the momentum and reputation that we have built in Prague and scale it across the entire region. By leveraging our wider pan-European and global platform, we can connect international capital with local opportunities."

Daniel Bienias, Managing Director CEE & Poland, CBRE, added: “Witnessing Jakub and his team excel in the Czech market has been truly impressive. With dedicated hotel experts in every CEE country – and the added strength of Jakub’s leadership and experience – we are ideally positioned to deliver outstanding service to our clients, whether for operator selection, investment transactions, or valuations."
